Contest Winner(s) for the Dinner of DOOM! Art Contest
Last month we announced a contest to design the logo for InvaderCON 2011. The prize offered? The first ticket for The Dinner of DOOM! The celebrity dinner will allow attendees to share a meal with the guests of InvaderCON next year.
We had a number of creative and wonderful entries (many of which we will feature in upcoming posts) but in the end, we could pick only one.
Or could we?
After looking over all the entries, we’ve made the decision to give away two seats to the Dinner of DOOM! A winner and a runner up.
The winner designed the logo you see in this post. Congratulations to Juliet V. She wins the first ticket to the Dinner of DOOM! We’ll be using the image on our of our advertising going forward.
The runner up submitted freehand artwork that has become a part of the banner at the very top of this website. Congrats to “genkidane747″ who will get the second ticket to the dinner.
Both winners will need to purchase tickets to the convention – but have tickets into the dinner comped. Tickets for the Dinner of DOOM! will go sale to the public soon. Stay tuned!

So the winners are the same two you had up yesterday? So they did win early…did you even look at the entries you recieved after that? I sense foul play! They look great and everything, but because you had them up early it feels like you didn’t give anyone else a chance.

@Jane: We reviewed all the entries as they came in. The two you see that were used were ranked #1 and #2. In order to proactively look at their use in advertising, we starting building a new website utilizing the art yesterday afternoon. We didn’t announce either the “winner” until after midnight – and if we had gotten any entries between that time we wouldn’t have announced the winners until tomorrow in order to review them again.
Since no new entries showed up – we stuck with the awesomeness you see now.
But… I did submit an entry… did it not send somehow?

I just realized; it probably didn’t send because I was an IDIOT and sent it through Outlook in my hurry to make sure it made it. X( It’s my fault. I just wish it had lost due to it being lousy rather than my own amazing stupidity. I could rival Zim himself. DX

That is a freakin’ awesome logo! Very devious and invader-y (I make up words XD). Can’t wait to see some other entries!
